“Memorial Day”
Memorial Day is an American holiday celebrated on May 25 (Last Monday of May). On this day, we honor the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated back in the civil war and became an official holiday in 1971. Many celebrate the Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings or participating in parades. I usually celebrate Memorial Day by having a family gathering and thanking the military for their protection and safety.

Becoming
Your Best
The
12 principles of Highly Successful Leaders
1. Be true to character: By being true to character means
being you. Don’t try to be like anybody else that means you are not unique. You
want to be distinct and you want others to be like you. Don’t compare yourself
to others. If you try to compare yourself to someone you’re not, you’ll never
be happy.
2. Use your Imagination: Imagine what you want to do or
one of your goals. Then now you have imagined it, make it into a reality and
drive for that goal because no one else is going to take you there but yourself. Your imagination is what makes your dreams, your the one who creates it.
3. Apply the power of knowledge: By applying
knowledge it would be easier to be a successful person. The more knowledge you have
the more power you earn. We would make better decisions, think intelligent thoughts,
and make yourself a better person by being more valuable. People would like
being around you and the more you would like to be around others.
4. Never give up: As long as you are alive,
anything is possible. One mistake shouldn’t make you stop from what you want to
achieve. Nobody is perfect and mistakes happen. That’s why you learn from your mistakes
and keep moving forward. If you’re not giving up then that means you have a
goal, achieve that goal and you well feel the joy of success.
5. Find peace and balance: Life is not about wasting over things that
make you tired and put you down; life is there to be enjoyed. So, enjoy it. You
have to calm down relax and just enjoy the beauty of living. If you have
aggression, join a sport. You can kick a ball as hard as you want or swing at a
tennis ball with full power. Do what you want to do or how you want to look and
don’t let them criticize you for you. If you worry about what people will say about
the way you look or act, it's not worth it.
6. Live the golden rule: The Golden Rule doesn’t
really mean that you should treat someone else exactly as you’d want them to
treat you … it means that you should try to imagine how they want to be
treated, and do that. Make it a habit to try to place yourself in the
shoes of another person. Really try to understand, to the extent that
you can, what it’s like to be them, what they are going through, and why they
do what they do.
7. Build and maintain
trust: Trust requires that
people believe you will be dependable in the long-term. Thus, when you
make someone a promise, you must keep it. Follow through with your word many times over
an extended period. While there are some situations where telling the
whole truth as you see it might not be the most ethical choice, in most cases,
honesty really is the best policy.
"Learning to trust is one of life's most difficult task in the world" (Issac Watts)
8. Quick to listen, slow to wrath: Be a good listener by looking thinking about the other person’s
perspective and being in their shoes. This well make you become a better friend
and know more about the person.
9. Lead with vision: lead your life by visualizing. Visualize what your next step is gonna be and what you want in the future. Lead your future by visualizing your self in that exact position you want to be, then work on getting there by putting in your hard work and dedication
10. Manage with a plan: To manage with a plan means have a plan with
what you are gonna do with your life. What you are gonna achieve this day to
get closer to your goal or goals. Know what your gonna achieve today and plan tomorrow.
Ounce you have a plan, your life would be much easier and less stressful.
11. Do what matters most: Don’t
do what others tell you to do or what others want you to be. It always depends
on what you want to be in your life not others. It’s your life your decisions.
Do what is most important to you and never let others change your mind. You are
your life’s key to opening the door to new opportunities, experiences, and
goals.
12. Be accountable:
To be accountable means anyone can count on you. Be the leader of your own life or any group your put in to. Be the person any one can look up to to be their by there side.
Reflection: This would help me to be a more truthful and honest person. It would help me to tell the truth because no matter what, the truth would come out one day and you would live with that haunting lie for ever. I would make the right decisions that would benefit me and keep moving forward. The more I told tell the truth, the more honest and caring person I would be.
