How the internet works
The Internet is the backbone of the Web, the technical infrastructure that makes the Web possible. At its most basic, the Internet is a large network of computers which communicate all together. The Internet
works because open standards allow every network to connect to every other network. This is what makes it possible for anyone to create content, offer services, and sell products without requiring permission from a central authority. It levels the playing field for everyone and it’s the reason why we have a rich diversity of applications and services that many of us enjoy today.

Ten Tips
for Being More Truthful
Barbara A. Lewis
1. Make a commitment to tell the
truth.
2. Tell someone about your commitment.
Trust. In order to be successful in anything, a person must have a reputation of honesty. People who tell the truth are healthier. They have less concern, less stress and feel better about themselves. You well gain pride by telling the truth. I've never any liar who has any pride in them self's. The more one trusts the better the relationship he or she is in, whether personal or business.

3. Think before you give a dishonest answer
Words cant only hurt a person, but define who you are. It does not matter if you are at work, socializing with friends, at school or having a conversation with people you just met. Sometimes what we think and what society deems appropriate are two different things. What is acceptable in your mind may not be acceptable to others. Which is why you should watch your words closely because people might get offended even if they are not part of your conversation.
#4. Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
What this tip for being more truthful means is to be cautious to what you say in front of people because you can really hurt a persons feelings by the way you use exaggeration, sarcasm, and irony. An example of be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony in a positive and a negative matter is when you are talking to friends or family. when you are with friends you use lots of sarcasm and exaggeration and through that you have the thought in the bake of your head saying is it to much but you proceed. But when your with family you change.
#5. Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
When your telling the truth, tell the whole truth with out leaving any specific detail out. This makes a person trust you more and understand the situation clearly. If you tell the truth yes you might get in trouble or maybe not cause the person is pleased of hearing you tell the truth they would let you off with a warning. You wouldn't have fear of being caught or have any stress. Telling the whole truth is simply much better. You wont have to apologize and others would be truthful with you. You become vulnerable in a way that facilitates relationship growth and intimacy.
#6. Don't indulge in little white lies
#7. Watch out for silent lies
When someone does something wrong and you saw them, then you tell them the truth but not the whole truth, your basically telling a silent lie. If we stay quiet that's like lying because we're not honest about what we think or what is happening around us. We should always say the truth even if it might hurt someone. This may also conclude for the wrong person to be accused and getting in trouble. Sometimes you might be playing baseball with your friends and then swing and break a window. The parents from that house come out and ask who broke there window and you might say "I don't know". This represents a silent lie. You know you broke the window, but you decide to keep it silent and not tell. All of this just increases the consequences and makes you feel more pressured and worried of being caught.
#8. When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse
When you start telling a lie, just stop and think of what your saying. Try to stop telling that lie and tell the whole truth. Ounce you tell one lie it just leads to another. Little or big lies are lies and they are bad lies can make you into someone that only speaks lies. So instead of saying that lie, stop yourself and tell the full truth. I do tend to catch myself lying and I stop myself and I will continue to stop myself if I'm about to say something dishonest.
#9. Talk to yourself.
Before you speak, ask yourself, "Is this the right thing to say/ to do." Think before you say anything to one another and imagine if a positive or negative reaction well come out. By making time for your self, you can relax and just think about all the right and wrong you have done, and maybe just tell your self to never do it again, cause that means you are choosing the right.
#10. Treat yourself when you tell the truth
By telling the truth, your treating yourself into a life of good retaliation ships. People would tryst you and have faith in you for being such an honest person and for never lying to them. You well live a life of relaxation and never have to be stressed out about people finding out the truth when you are lying.
Reflection
These ten tips benefit fit me by not only being a better individual, but being a better friend, son, father, bf, etc. It taught me that lying is probably one of the worst things you can do in a relationship. It breaks your relationship and even separate you form your loved ones cause you are no longer trusted.

The 10 Keys to Personal Power

Brian Tracy
Brian Tracy.com
Key 1: Clarity
“Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a
sense of direction and know where you’re going. If you don’t have clear
specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do.”
The ability to determine what you want to be, do or have in
life. Have a sense of direction and know
where you’re going. If you do not have
clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do.
Be decisive. If you cannot make
decisions readily, you’ll always work for people who can. 80% of decision should be made the first time
they come up. It’s easy to make
decisions if you know what you want. Have a vision. To reach your dream, you
need to have one. The best way to predict the future is to create it. Your vision should excite you and make others
involved.
Key 2:
Competence
“If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come
your way. The harder you work, the better you get.”
Every successful person is excellent at what they do. Before they start, they commit themselves to
becoming excellent. You must work hard to become an expert in whatever you want
to become.
Key 3:
Concentration
“Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself “is this the
best use of my time?” before you start anything.”
Make sure you have a plan for your day to keep time in check.
The biggest factor affecting concentration is rest. Concentration requires your
mind to be calm. Always have a plan for whatever you are up to. When you sit
down to work without a plan, you may easily get caught in activities like
checking mails, Instant messaging (chatting) and browsing the web. Without a
purpose, you are wasting your time.
Key 4: Common
Sense
· Train your mind
·
Think things through
·
Listen to your intuition
·
Learn from setbacks
Action without thinking is the
cause of every failure. Listen to your intuition. Your intuition is the
best guide you have. Learn from your setbacks. Thin before you before you act.
Your actions decides what kind of person you are. When you face an
uncomfortable decision, your brain will spontaneously give you a fabulously
credible rationalization for avoiding possible failure, embarrassment, or even
minor discomfort. This is when your intuition kicks in to keep you safe from
any harm or death.
Key 5:
Creativity
Except the
fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking
questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions.”
The more you keep doing what you’re doing, the more you’ll
get what you’ve got. If you decide you are going to achieve a certain level
of income, success, etc.. You will develop the ideas that will lead top
creative potential and/or look for better ways improve your creativity.
Key 7: Consistency
Key 6: Consideration
“The quality of your relationships with other people will
determine your success in life.”
- · relationships determine success
- · people skills
- · golden rule
- · most firings, result from personality conflicts
- · learn to listen
Develop the people skills you need to become a better
communicator. Take courses in listening,
speaking, etc. If you were to learn one work a day, within 5 years, you’ll be
the best educated person in history. The more words you have, the better the
world is you create. Practice the golden rule “You’ll get out of life, what you
put into it.”
Key 7: Consistency
“Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast
spurts of work.”
“Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends,
and work. Be the person that people can depend upon. That if you say you’ll do
something you do it.”
Just be a steady person. You don’t have to be a genius. Nobody is
better than you or I. They are just
doing things a different way. Every single
greatest accomplishment in life is an accumulation of thousands of little accomplishments
that nobody sees. Guard your integrity as a sacred thing. Never compromise your peace of mind. Don’t stay in relationships, jobs, etc. if
it’s going to compromise your peace of mind.
Key 8: Commitment
“No success is possible
without commitment. The ability to
commitment to yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success.”
“Become totally absorbed
in your work. Be totally committed.”
To make a commitment is one of the hardest things people can
do. If you are committed to your work, you’ll do more than any other person,
regardless of their talent or ability. To be committed means you sweat, bleed,
and tear to reach your goal no matter what obstacles are in the way.
Key 9: Courage
“The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for
failure in life.”
Stepping outside your comfort zone may cause anxiety, but
it's a great way to learn courage. Being courageous means doing something
despite the fear. Having confidence allows you to trust in your abilities and
yourself, and realize that you are more than your fears. When you have
confidence in yourself you will find it easier to take courageous action.
Key 10: Confidence
“You only get confidence by doing things over and over
again.”
What this key is saying is you need to be brave and be
confident to succeed. If you dont have courage to be successful then you will
more likely fail if you fear failure. If you fear failure then you will be
choosing the wrong and never succeed. What many people dont know if they are
not confident of succeeding it gives them a reason why they will fail in life.
So what people should learn about this is always have courage in being
successful so you can choose the right. Don’t be scared to fail, you only learn
from your mistakes, you don’t repeat them. Once you do you well gain more
confidence by now having a idea of what not to do how to do it.
Reflection
The ten keys are simple
traits that everyone should have by now. There is to achieve as long as you’re committed.
By being committed you must have confidence and by being confident, that means
you have courage. People well take you in consideration since you are
competent. You are concentrated on your goals and your creativity well takes you
far in life.
