Way to Be
9
Ways to be Happy and Make Something of your life
Gordon B. Hinckley
1. Be
Grateful: When a person is grateful, they won’t ask for more and cherish everything
they own or have. They would give thanks for the people that they have in their
life’s and cherish the time they have with them, cause you never know if it’s
is last. They love who they are and gives thanks to god for making them who
they are today. For giving them another chance in life by waking up each
morning.
2. Be Smart: People who are smart would try their best in school every day. People who are smart would know where or when not to go or what not to do like drugs or drink alcohol. Everyone is smart; you just have to put the effort into being what you want to be. People don’t decide what you are or what you are going to do, YOU DO!!!
3. Be involved in Good Works: to be involved in good works, you need to be there for other people for help and advice. Whenever a friend or even a stranger is down or falls to the ground, you well be there for them to pick them right back up. Some traits you need to have to be involved in good works is patients, kind, caring, being honest, and treat them with respect. For example, your friends grandpa is in the hospital and she is sad, you well be there with them to pick their head up and tell them, “Everything well be okay. At the end, I will still be here, your grandpa well still be here, and so well you.”
4. Be Clean: To be clean means to always be organized, not filthy. Your time well be
5. Quote: “It hurts the most when the person that made you feel special yesterday makes you feel so unwanted today” -Drake

Be True: To be true mean being loyal and honest to your friends,
family, and teachers. People are able to trust you on any task they assign to
you and know you will be able to finish on time. Cherish those special
friendships and don’t hate those who stumble cause we all do sometimes.
6. Be Positive: By being
positive you accept who you are. Don’t judge yourself for your thoughts and
feelings. You can’t control the things that pop up or the feelings that you
have. What you can control is how you interpret and respond to them. Also
create a life with in and make friends that would always be there for you. You
would realize that you are not the only one in this world with the same problem.
Finally, make goals. Goals give you a more positive outlook on life. Even though
you don’t achieve the goal right away, studies show that setting goals would
make you feel more confident and hopeful. Don’t be afraid to fail, if you do it
would only push you harder and harder to accomplishing your goal. I would apply
this on my soccer career. Even if we are down 1-0 or 2-0, I will stay positive
and keep working hard to change the score board.
7. Humble: Being humble means you accept yourself as you and admit you’re not the best at everything. Be grateful at what you have. You probably graduated high school in honors with all your hard work and equipment you have. Others might be as intelligent as you or hardworking, but probably come from a different neighborhood or back round you had and can just make one wrong choice in life. Always remember that the decisions that you make today could change your life tomorrow. Don’t be afraid tom make mistakes and admit them. Apologize if you made a mistake and admit you were wrong. The only way to be Humble is to be truthful and people well be able to trust you with any assignment or job to due on time

8. Be still: being still
means being patient. Patients is the key to success and being humble in life.
For example, if you’re driving and your late to work. Being impatient might
mean speeding, crashing, or putting your life and others in danger. If your
patient, you will be relaxed and get to work on time either late or not. Your
life and others wouldn’t be in danger and you wouldn’t be speeding. You well be
honest and tell them why you where late, because the truth means loyalty, and
loyalty well bring respect.
